“In Vain Do They Worship Me”
By David J. Stewart | October 2009
Mark 7:7, “Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” —God
The Bible says that people who teach manmade doctrines are wasting their time, worshipping God in vain. They might as well be worshipping a brick wall, or a tree or the sun.
This is the Catholic Church, who have been fabricating new doctrines for many centuries. It is tragic that so many Catholics go to church, sing to Mary, listen to some heathen priest and think they are worshipping God. In reality, they are not worshipping God at all. They are playing a religious game.
Granted, Catholic services are impressive, and the Catholic religion offers a complete religious package, from the cradle to the casket. But the Vatican and and the Catholic Church teach the commandments of men; such as, the unbiblical teaching of the 7 Sacraments. The word “sacrament” isn't even found in the Bible. The mass, confirmation, confession, et cetera... are all manmade teachings.
People who attend the Catholic Church are spinning their wheels, going no where, and God is not pleased at all. This is exactly what Jesus said. If you follow the commandments of men, instead of the Scriptures, then you have churchianity without Christianity.
John 8:32 and 36, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free ... If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
