Jane Fonda's False Christianity

by David J. Stewart | August 2016

Matthew 7:21, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”

Kindly, Jane Fonda is not a genuine Christian according to the Holy Bible. Like most unsaved religious people, Miss Fonda has “a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away” (2nd Timothy 3:5). That “power” is the Gospel according to Romans 1:16a, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth...” 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 defines “the Gospel” as Christ's death on the cross for our sins, His burial and bodily resurrected three days later. In sharp contrast to the Gospel, Jane Fonda states:

Over time, and, I feel, because I stepped outside of established religion, I was able to rekindle the spiritual experience that I’d been seeking. Some will say that because of all this I am not a true Christian. So be it. I feel like a Christian, I believe in the teachings of Jesus and try to practice them in my life. I have found Christians all over this country who feel as I do. They may not have been ‘saved’ yet they hum with divine spirit.

My faith is a work in progress (as am I) but I will plant my flag on the belief that God lives within each of us as Spirit (or soul). I like what Reverend Forrest Church says: “God is not God’s name. God is our name for that which is greater than all and yet present in all.” I believe that Christ was the personal incarnation of the divine wisdom in everything, including every form of spiritual expression.

Lots of folks go to church every Sunday and spend the rest of their time avoiding dealing with the question of consciousness. They try to pass time with pastimes, possessions, prestige. They think about God and talk about their religious beliefs but avoid experiencing Spirit. Thinking and experiencing aren’t the same. One happens in the head. The other is a flash, a rush of intuition that seems to permeate our entire being. That is what Jesus meant when he said that God is within us. That is what I am seeking, and I have found that since I have come to feel God within me, I experience less fear—of anything, including death. ... [emphasis added]

Talk about heresy! Miss Fonda is a New Ager. She denies the Biblical truth that Jesus Christ is the Godhead incarnate (John 1:1-3, 14; Colossians 2:9 - Note: All Scriptures quoted only from the trustworthy King James Bible). Miss Fonda believes that a group of men exalted Jesus to Godhood. Earlier in her article, she states:

In my studies, I learned that 325 years after Jesus was crucified at the Council of Nicea, a gathering of Christian leaders, all men, decided by a show of hands and amidst bitter theological differences, what would be included as Biblical cannon and what was to be left out and decreed that Jesus was not only the Son of God but God himself.

Just as the sincere unsaved group of religious people in Matthew 7:21-23, Fonda says, “I feel like a Christian.” But you're not a Christian just because you feel like one. Proverbs 14:12, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Although she may be sincere, I believe Miss Fonda fully knows that she is going 100% contrary to Biblical Christianity. I believe she has an agenda, which is, to promote New Age. Satan's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born again. Jesus plainly warned in John 3:3b, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” We become born-again by believing the Gospel (i.e., the Good News) of Christ crucified on the cross for our sins, buried, and risen three days later.

Jane Fonda does not accept the truth of the Gospel. She has never repented of her false religion. If she did repent, she would believe the Gospel. Instead, Jane openly admits her New Age beliefs, stating that she believes Jesus Christ was merely “every form of spiritual expression.” She states, “I believe that Christ was the personal incarnation of the divine wisdom in everything, including every form of spiritual expression.” This is the core belief of the demonic New Age movement. In a similar way, Jane Fonda is a modern-day Alice Bailey (who mentioned Christ 666 times in her book, “The Externalisation Of The Hierarchy”). Bailey never openly admits that she is speaking of the Antichrist, and an unlearned person might fall for her deception; but a learned Christian believer can see right through her masquerade.

Miss Fonda is correct that there are people all over the country who feel as she does (AND THEY ARE ALL WRONG!). They desire to practice Christ's teachings on loving thy neighbour, forgiveness and not condemning others; but they reject the Biblical teachings of the Gospel, repentance, sin, salvation, Christ's deity, the Godhead and the need to be born-again!!! Clearly, these people are not true Christians. You can't just twist the Word of God, change the rules, and do things your own way. It doesn't work like that. 1st John 2:22, “Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.” Jane Fonda denies Jesus as the Christ, God incarnate, born of a virgin, Who lived a sinless life, and died in our place on the cross. It is not enough to simply live according to the life of Christ, following His good character and love.

“There is power in this Gospel message. Most people just don't know how to present it...
The clarity of the Gospel is what makes it easy for them to believe”

—Pastor Yankee Arnold, a quote from the excellent MP3 sermon titled, “
WHY GRACE CAN SAVE THE WORST MAN!

That “clarity” is found in 1st Corinthians 15:1-4, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” There is no need to guess what “the Gospel” (i.e., Good News) is. As you just read in 1st Corinthians 15:1-4, “the Gospel” is defined as Christ's DEATH on the cross for our sins, His BURIAL, and bodily RESURRECTION three days later.

You've probably heard all other kinds of garbage, like “inviting Jesus into your life,” “following Christ,” “turning from sins,” “surendering to Christ as 'Lord',” or Jane Fonda's take on being a Christian. I hate to rain on anyone's parade, but God's Word plainly defines the Gospel (as I just shared with you from the Holy Scriptures). I did not write this article to be unkind or insulting, not at all. I wrote this article because I am born-again Christian (since age 13), and I recognize that what Jane Fonda is teaching is extremely wrong and spiritually dangerous. Jane Fonda admittedly is not saved.

In our text verse from Matthew 7:21, Jesus plainly tells us why the group of religious people in Matthew 7:21-23 were not allowed into Heaven, that is, they failed to do the will of the Father. The Bible plainly tells us the will of the Father in John 6:40, “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” We are saved by BELIEVING ON JESUS CHRIST!!!

Sadly, Jane Fonda doesn't see Christ in a Biblical fashion. She sees a mystical type of energy force in all humanity. We are told in the Bible that the Antichrist, when he comes, will honor “the God of forces” (Daniel 11:38b). This is what New Age doctrine teaches! Jane Fonda is helping prepare the ignorant masses to receive the coming man of sin, the Antichrist. People today are seeking spirituality without theology. Fonda admittedly rejects the deity of Christ. She doesn't believe that Jesus walked the earth as God incarnate (in the flesh). 1st Timothy 3:16 tells us that “God was manifest in the flesh.” Fonda attributes Christ's deity as a manmade doctrine by the Council of Nicea 325 years after Christ's crucifixion. Clearly, Jane does not believe that Jesus resurrected from the dead and is alive today in Heaven (Colossians 3:1-2; Romans 8:34; Hebrews 4:14-16; Acts 1:9-11). She sees Jesus as a mere brilliant man, no more. She believes that God (as a spiritual force) lives inside of everyone in the form of the soul. Clearly, Fonda doesn't believe in the God of the Bible. In New Age, you get to know God by connecting with your inner spiritual self. In Christianity, you can only come to God through the precious Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:6).

Fonda says Jesus taught about God being inside all of us, but you won't find that in the Bible. If you're not born-again, God's Holy Spirit does not live within your body. Jesus taught that you must come through the Son in order to get to the Father. John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Fonda is preaching a form of spirituality devoid of theology. She desires a form of spirituality, but without the fundamentals of the Word of God. This is heresy! Any spirit that is not the Holy Spirit is a familiar spirit (a devil). Beware of anyone who speaks about spiritual matters, without basing those teachings upon the Word of God. You should have a chapter and verse from the Scriptures for everything that you believe doctrinally. Romans 4:3, “For what saith the scripture?”

Please pardon me if I have offended or angered anybody, but I care about you, whoever you may be. You can obey the Gospel, as the Bible teaches, or you can go to Hell with Jane Fonda. The choice is solely yours. Please don't join Satan, Miss Fonda, AC/DC and the rest of the wicked world on the highway to Hell. James 4:14, “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” Time is running out!

John 8:32 and 36, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free ...
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
